In 2016, Sherwood debuted the PAPUT®, a portable APU tester that simplifies on-wing testing and trouble-shooting. Shortly after, the Sher-Flow® Inlet Barrier Filter Solution was introduced, offering protection of the APU and sub-systems. Capability Transfers
Maintenance is the cornerstone of readiness. Our Engineering & Product Development segment provides on-site development and training of depot-level and intermediate-level capabilities to support maintenance operations worldwide, optimizing turn-around times and mission readiness. Programs are customized to the operating location requirements and include necessary tooling, test equipment, training, technical support, and licensing, as well as spares and detail parts support.
Build-to-Print/Specification Services
Our on-site Engineering & Manufacturing segment offers full spectrum build processes, from raw material to tested and certified turnkey products. A dedicated engineering team consisting of certified engineers and product specialists provide knowledgeable and responsive support. Spacecraft Components
Sherwood Aviation is a supplier of spacecraft components including parts manufactured in-house for vehicles, launching systems, satellites, antennas, precision optical structures, test beds, and power systems. These complex geometries and tight tolerance components are manufactured in our Opa-Locka facilities utilizing the latest manufacturing and quality standards. All manufactured components pass through a rigorous inspection process to ensure even the tightest tolerances are per drawing specifications and customer requirements.
Sherwood Aviation’s engineering teams work with many of the largest OEM’s including several spacecraft, rocket engine, and satellite manufacturers during the design process for New Product Introduction (NPI) while insuring manufacturability. Optimizing machine path workflows to deliver rapid prototypes and rapid manufacturing of these components is crucial to our customer’s mission.
